Hi Ms. Blue!

I’m thinking about studying in the US through Amerigo next year. Could you tell me a little about how Amerigo students are supported after school? Are there teachers at the campus after school if I need extra help in my classes?

Thank you!

Future Amerigo-er

Students on our Signature campuses residing in our residential boarding programs have dedicated ELL teachers and other tutors after school.

Dear Future Amerigo-er,

We are excited that you're considering joining our programs at Amerigo! Ensuring the academic success and English language proficiency of our students is our top priority. When students become part of the Amerigo community, they integrate seamlessly into our partner high schools, gaining access to a wealth of support and learning opportunities.

One aspect of American high school academic culture that may differ from what you're accustomed to is the emphasis on independence in learning. In the US, we encourage students to take ownership of their educational journey, actively engaging in additional tutoring and support services. This proactive approach is integral to thriving in the American academic environment, and it models what students can expect when they head off to university after high school graduation.

In American high schools, teachers offer extra tutorial sessions before or after school. These sessions provide additional time with the instructor for students to seek clarification on course material, discuss homework assignments, and prepare for exams.

For Amerigo Signature students residing in our residential boarding programs, dedicated English Language Learning teachers and other tutors offer structured study sessions after school. These sessions support students in their coursework and English language development.

We hope to have you join one of our campuses soon!
