Real moments, real growth.

Student stories from the Amerigo world

In their words.

Every story starts with a leap and ends somewhere unexpected. Here's what some of our international students in the USA, Canada and UK found, beyond the grades.

"Studying in the United States was like stepping into a world I'd only glimpsed in dreams. Through the Amerigo program, I didn't just learn about other classmates from around the world, but I learned about myself. My time in America didn't just change my life; it redefined it."

For parents

A letter, before anything else.

Two male graduates in blue gowns with flower leis smiling, holding diplomas at outdoor ceremony.

Dear parents,

We know this part is harder for you than it is for them.

You're sending someone you've watched grow up to a country you may have never been to, into classrooms you can't visit, with people you haven't met yet. That isn't a small ask. We don't pretend it is.

So here is what we promise. There's always someone close by. You'll see how they're doing, actually see, through our family app. We'll call you before you have to call us. Every email is answered by a real person, and most of us are parents too.

Amerigo was built by people who, like you, didn't want to outsource the years their teenager grows into themselves.

So we don't. We hold it carefully. When in doubt, just ask. We're easier to reach than you think.

FAQ

Quick answers.

How much does it cost?

Fees vary by program, school and country. Download a brochure for transparent pricing, or book a call and we'll walk you through the options.

Is the Top 100 guarantee real?

Yes. For eligible students at our US partner schools, a place at a Top 100 university is guaranteed in writing, or your fees are refunded. The guarantee applies in the USA only.

Where do students live?

It depends on the destination. In the US and Canada, a vetted homestay or a supervised residence with live-in staff. In the UK, on-campus boarding. Wherever you are, the Amerigo team is close by.

Do you help with the student visa?

Yes. We guide you through the F-1 student visa in the US, the study permit in Canada, or the Child Student Visa in the UK, plus travel and arrival, step by step.

What if my English isn't perfect?

That's fine. Our partner schools provide in-school English (ELL) support alongside regular classes, so you can settle in and grow in confidence at your own pace.

How do we start?

Download a brochure, join a webinar or book a free call. One of our advisors will be in touch within one working day.

What support do students get on campus?

Every Amerigo partner school has a dedicated team on site: our International Department. You get your own study abroad advisor, plus academic coaching, wellbeing check-ins and a familiar face whenever it's needed. Studying online? The same support follows you there.

What happens if a student is struggling or homesick?

That's exactly what our on-campus team is there for. Settling into a new country takes time, and someone is always close by to talk to, encourage and help you find your feet. Homesickness is normal, and no one goes through it alone.

How will I know how my child is doing?

You'll stay close, wherever you are. Through our parent app and regular check-ins, you'll get updates on how your child is settling in, progressing and growing, so you're never out of the loop.

How are students supported academically?

Our schools set high standards, and our team helps students meet them. From one-to-one coaching to university guidance, you get the structure and encouragement to do your best work and stay on track from day one.

What if I want to push myself further?

We love ambition. For students aiming high, there are advanced courses, enrichment and tailored university coaching to match, including pathways to the most competitive universities. You can go as far as you want to.

How long can I study for?

Whatever suits you. Some students join for a single term or an exchange year; others stay through to a full high school diploma. We'll help you choose the right length for your goals.

What ages do you accept?

Amerigo works with students across K–12, with most joining between grades 9 and 12, roughly ages 14 to 18. Whatever stage you're at, we'll help you find the right entry point.

Who do we contact if there's a problem?

You'll always have a named Amerigo contact who knows you and your family. Whether it's a quick question or something urgent, you'll know exactly who to reach.
