Kiki, a senior from Hong Kong currently studying at Bishop Montgomery High School, will be attending University of Southern California (#28) in the fall, where she plans on studying Business.

Along with USC, Kiki was admitted into numerous other top universities, including:

·     University of California – Berkeley (#15)

·     University of California – Davis (#28)

·     University of California – San Diego (#28)

·     University of California – Santa Barbara (#35)

·     University of Washington (#40)

·     Rutgers University (#40)

·     Boston University (#43)

·     Pepperdine University (#76)

·     Loyola Marymount University (#93)

Kiki attributes much of her success at Bishop Montgomery to Ms. Jillian, her Amerigo Advisor, as well as to Amerigo’s University Guidance Program, which provided her with essay workshops and informational meetings.

“My favorite part about Amerigo is that my advisor, Ms. Jillian, always provides me with full support and care,” Kiki said. “I feel like a child when I'm with her because she puts a lot of effort into helping us perform our best in all fields. Personally, she has supported me emotionally and mentally. She is always there to talk to me and give me a hug, which encourages me and supports me to better myself.”

During her time at Bishop Montgomery, Kiki was the Editor and Treasurer of Key Club, a service organization that provides volunteer opportunities to students. She also is a part of National Honor Society and is a Student Ambassador with Amerigo, helping share her story with other students.

For students considering coming to study in the US, Kiki says the experience is well worth it.

“Trying to step out of your comfort zone and becoming an international student here in the US is fun and interesting,” she said. “Experiencing American high school will affect your views and values. Although it may be tough sometimes, like feeling homesick, there are always people who can support you. Meeting new friends and having a new life in the US has changed my life, and I wouldn’t regret studying here.”
